Cost Del Mar Sunproof Lens Technology Costa Del Mar is famous for its polarized lens technology. Other companies
have polarized lenses, but Costa Del Mar Sunproof lenses are considered
by experts to be superior. This fact was certified by an independent testing
facility. Costa Del Mar Sunproof lenses are designed to provide maximum
eye protection and are optically correct, hard coated for scratch resistance,
laminated construction, 100% UV Protective and 99% polarized for the ultimate
in glare reduction.
All their lenses filter blue light, but the amber and Vermilion lenses
filter the majority of blue light allowing just enough for the wearer to
distinguish color. Costa Del Mar lenses exceed FDA and Z80.3 standards for
special purpose sun protective eyewear as well as European and British standards
B52724.
Colorific Polarization System
Costa Del Mar's technical staff has developed the revolutionary Colorific
Polarization System for superior vision through polarized lenses. After
years of color testing, Costa Del Mar has found that certain lens colors
in combination with glare reducing polarizer, produce optimum polarized
lens to actually heighten visual acuity and provide the wearer with superior
vision.
Lens Color Choices:
UV Light isn't the only light that causes adverse effects in your vision. Light near 580nm, lying within the yellow region of the spectrum, is particularly difficult for the eye to process. Costa's new sunlens filters 100% harmful UV rays and yellow light over 50% better than any lens on the market.
 Dark Gray
Polarized for maximum glare reduction. For all purpose sun protective wear,
dark for intense sunlight. Ideal for all water sports, offshore fishing,
marine activities, driving, flying and beachwear.

 Dark Amber
Polarized for maximum glare reduction. Worn by many for general purpose
wear, but also offers qualities of enhanced visual acuity for special function

 Dark Vermilion
Polarized for maximum glare reduction. Also worn by many for general
purpose wear as rose/cooper tint heightens visual acuity and enhances color.
Delivers brightest field of vision and is applicable for, driving, shooting,
skiing, sight fishing, and all flat light conditions.

 Sunrise - Yellow Amber
Polarized for maximum glare reduction. High Contrast specialty lens
for early morning or late evening. Designed for sight fishing and sport

Base lens color dark grey. Polarized for maximum glare reduction. For
all purpose sun protective wear, dark for intense sunlight. Ideal for all

* Both the Costa Del Mar Blue and Green Mirror are made from optical-quality,
ground and polished, silica glass, with a combination of eight layers of
zircon oxide and titanium oxide (high index), as well as magnesium oxide
(low index). These lenses feature an anti-reflection coating of Magnesium
Floride that is applied to the back of the lens. This dramatically reduces
light reflection and greatly enhances imaging.
